The Extortion Gang Busted In The Name Of Lashkar-Jaish

The extortion gang busted in the name of Lashkar-Jaish, former terrorist Hilal is the kingpin: Jammu Kashmir.

Police have arrested four of its members in North Kashmir, busting an extortion racket named Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Police have also recovered letter pads, printers, and niqabs of terrorist organizations from their possession. Gang’s kingpin Hilal Ahmed Patu is a former terrorist.

A police spokesperson said that Mohammad Ashraf Lone, a resident of Highland Colony Sopore, had filed a complaint in the past. He stated in his complaint that some masked persons forcibly entered his clinic.

The extortion gang busted: They threatened him on behalf of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, saying that a hit order had come in his name.

He has to give a donation of five lakh rupees to the jihadist organization, otherwise, he will have to face serious consequences.

They also showed him a letter pad allegedly issued by Jaish-e-Mohammed, which he was ordered to collect funds for the organization. Based on his complaint, a case was registered and investigated.

During the investigation, the police identified some suspicious elements. After this Hilal Ahmed Patu, Tahleen Nisar, Imran Aziz Gilkar, and Mudassir Hasan Ganai were brought for questioning.

During interrogation, all four confessed their crime. Lashkar and Jaish-e-Mahomed’s letter pad, printer, mask, and other accessories have also been seized from them. At present, all four are being questioned.

Drug Smuggling: Court asked the government to state the actual condition of intoxication in Jammu and Kashmir.

Hearing the plea for a special operation on drug addiction in Jammu and Kashmir, the Division Bench of the High Court has sought information from the government about the current actual status of the drug.

Law student Arthav Mahajan had filed this PIL on which Chief Justice Pankaj Mithal and Justice Rajneesh Oswal are hearing.

After listening to Advocates Deepika Mahajan and Supriya Chauhan, the Bench has asked senior police officials in this case apart from the current situation and also asked if the police could control it.

In this context, the bench ordered the government to present Hulfnama within a month. Arthav Mahajan has said in the petition that at this time intoxication is spreading very fast.

Girls are also getting caught in this and many 13 or 14-year-olds and adolescent girls are also among the youth who are intoxicated.
