The EC Has Moved To Court To Ban The Media Reporting

The EC has moved to court to ban the media reporting of earlier oral comments made by the Madras High Court.

The Election Commission reached the court to stop the reporting of oral comments of the court. The Commission says that the court’s remarks have tarnished its image.

It is noteworthy that the Madras High Court recently said that the Election Commission should be held responsible for the spread of the second wave of Corona. Commission officials should face murder charges.

Madras High Court refuses to give any relief to the EC.

Senior advocate Rakesh Dwivedi, appearing for the Commission before the Madras High Court, has stated in his plea that oral comments made by judges during the hearing should not be reported to the media.

Only the comments recorded in the order should be reported.

The Election Commission has also said that media reports have tarnished the image of the Commission as an independent constitutional agency, which has been entrusted with the constitutional responsibility of conducting the election.

The Election Commission has told the Madras High Court that political leaders have failed to discharge their duties.

However, a bench of Chief Justice Sanjeev Banerjee and Justice Senthilkumar Ramamurthy refused to grant any relief in this case.

The Madras High Court on Monday pulled the Election Commission on the second wave of Corona in the country. Attributed the commission to the spread of infection.

The court termed the commission as the most irresponsible body. The court even said that the commission officials can be booked under murder charges.

The Supreme Court has sought a response from the state government and the State Election Commission on a petition seeking the implementation of the Corona Protocol during the counting of recently concluded panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh.

A bench headed by Justice AM Khanwilkar took notice of the plea of ​​advocate Shoaib Alam along with issuing notice to the state government and the State Election Commission and agreed to hear the petition on Saturday.

The Supreme Court bench was hearing a petition challenging the Allahabad High Court order by Sachin Yadav. The Allahabad High Court ordered the continuation of panchayat elections in the state.
