Terrorists Attempt to Infiltrate LoC: Indian security forces have foiled three infiltration attempts along the LoC in Rajouri ahead of the Amarnath Yatra. Militants tried to breach border security in Kerry and Tarkundi. Terrorists repeatedly try to infiltrate the LoC in a bid to disrupt the Amarnath Yatra. There have been three infiltration attempts on the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri region, two of which took place in Kerry and one in Tarkundi, official sources said. The first infiltration attempt was made on June 13 in the Line of Control (LoC) area under the jurisdiction of Rajouri police station. Heavy firing also took place between the security forces and the militants. It is believed that two to three intruders were also injured in the shooting. However, they succeeded in returning to the other side of the Line of Control. The second infiltration attempt was made on June 23 when a group of three heavily armed militants tried to break through the Line of Control in the Kerry area.

Terrorists Attempt to Infiltrate LoC: This attempt was also thwarted, and the intruders were driven back.

The third and latest infiltration attempt took place on June 29 when once again a group of four heavily armed militants tried to infiltrate from Tarkundi near Rajouri. It was also foiled.

In an operation launched after thwarting this infiltration attempt, a guide who helped terrorists infiltrate from Datote village in PoJK has been nabbed by the Army and BSF. In interrogation, he said that while the terrorists were running back, they fell into the ditch and all were injured.

Reacting to these three infiltration attempts, official sources said the chances of infiltration on the LoC have increased. However, since Operation Sindoor and the subsequent war situation, the Indian Army is already keeping a close watch on the border. After these continuous infiltration attempts, the security arrangements on the entire LoC from Akhnoor to Poonch, which falls under the White Knight Corps, have been alerted to the highest possible level.
