Tension between Telangana Chief Minister and Governor. CM Chandrashekhar Rao angry with Telangana Governor? Did not attend ‘At Home’ program.
Tension has come to the fore between Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan.
CM Chandrashekhar Rao did not attend the ‘At Home’ program organized at the Governor’s residence.
On the occasion of Independence Day, the ‘At Home’ program was organized at Raj Bhavan on Monday evening.
It was believed that Chandrashekhar Rao will be present in the program, but due to some reason at the last minute, he did not come to the program.
Although Rao had hinted at improving relations with the Governor by attending the swearing-in ceremony of the Chief Justice of the High Court last month, there is speculation about his absence from the program.
Photos from the ‘At Home’ event were tweeted last night from the Governor’s official Twitter handle.
“Glad to be hosting the At Home Dinner at Raj Bhavan on the historic occasion of 76th Independence Day celebrations,” the Governor tweeted.
Significantly, Chandrashekhar has been involved in the Governor’s At Home program till the year 2020. At that time the relations between Raj Bhavan and CMO were good.
The CM also attended the swearing-in ceremony of Ujjwal Bhuyan at Raj Bhavan. However, later CM Rao and TRS leaders did not attend the Ugadi ceremony.
Chandrashekhar Rao targeted the central government.
Earlier, while addressing the public on the occasion of Independence Day, CM Chandrashekhar Rao targeted the central government.
Rao had said that the central government talks about the ideals of the spirit of cooperative federalism, but it is engaged in the centralization of powers.
