Telangana Politics: CPI(M) Leaders Meet KCR, Extend Support

Telangana Politics: CPI(M) leaders meet KCR, and extend support to fight against forces spreading religious hatred.

A team of Communist Party of India (Marxist) leaders met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Saturday and extended their support to his fight against “forces spreading religious hatred”.

CPM Telangana State Secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram, former MLA Julakanti Rangareddy, and party central committee member Cherupalli Sitaramulu met CM KCR at Pragati Bhavan on Saturday.

They discussed various political and national issues for about an hour.

Conspiracy hatched to create unrest in Telangana in the name of religion

According to the Chief Minister’s Office, KCR “invited intellectuals and thinkers to join the fight against the division of people in the name of religion for selfish politics”.

Speaking on the occasion, KCR said that some divisive forces conspired to create unrest in the name of religion for selfish politics in the peaceful Telangana state.

According to the CMO, “the Chief Minister also thanked the CPI(M) for coming forward in response to his call to unite democratic supporters, intellectuals, and political leaders representing civil society to stop the conspiracies of divisive forces.”

Telangana Politics: CPI(M) leaders submitted a memorandum.

“The CPI(M) leaders made it clear that they will extend full support to CM KCR’s fight against the forces of religious hatred,” the CMO said.

The CPI(M) leaders also submitted a memorandum to CM KCR on the plight of the people.

This comes days after KCR returned from his one-day Bihar tour where he met Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy and discussed national politics.

The two had also addressed a joint press conference on September 1, where KCR was faced with the question of whether Kumar would contest as the opposition’s candidate for the prime minister’s post.

KCR deferred the question and refrained from giving a direct answer saying that the opposition parties will meet and take a decision.

It can be seen in a press conference that while KCR is busy answering the question, Nitish Kumar urged him to dismiss such questions.

When Nitish Kumar was ready to leave, KCR continued to insist, ‘Aap bihein’ (please sit), but Nitish kept insisting, ‘Aap chaliye na’.
