Tehreek-e-Hurriyat’s Political Shop Closed: Kashmir

Tehreek-e-Hurriyat’s political shop closed, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat’s board outside Geelani’s house removed: Kashmir.

The board of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Kashmir, which was put up outside the house of hardliner Syed Ali Shah Geelani, also came down.

Amid reports of the central government imposing restrictions on both the factions of the Hurriyat Conference.

Tehreek-e-Hurriyat’s political shop closed: It is being considered as a lockout on the political shop of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat in a way.

It was formed by Syed Ali Shah Geelani in 2004 with the consent of Jamaat-e-Islami after the Hurriyat split in 2003.

Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Kashmir had its headquarters in Rajbagh for the first few days, but later Syed Ali Shah Geelani made the building on the exterior of his house its headquarters.

For nearly 14 years, the radical leader was the chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Kashmir. He appointed his confidante Mohammad Ashraf Sahrai as its chairman in 2018.

Last year, Geelani had also left the Hurriyat Conference. On May 5 this year, Mohammad Ashraf Sahrai was surrounded by the corona epidemic in Udhampur Jail and died in a hospital in Jammu.

The Tehreek-e-Hurriyat is almost dormant after Geelani’s illness and Ashraf Sahrai’s death.

On Sunday evening, domestic servants of hardliner Syed Ali Shah Geelani removed banners and boards of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Kashmir hanging on the outer wall of the house.

A senior separatist leader belonging to the separatist camp said that Syed Ali Shah Geelani is in bed for the past year. He cannot speak, cannot move anywhere. The Jamaat is already banned.

Both Geelani’s sons are on the radar of the National Investigation Agency, there are many things about how they have survived.

Now if the ban on Tehreek-e-Hurriyat is announced, then the police will arrest the leaders of all the organizations associated with the Hurriyat, their offices will be sealed.

That’s why Geelani’s relatives have done this to save themselves.

If you want, you can say that the political shop of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat has been closed amidst speculations of the ban on the Hurriyat Conference.
