Tamil Nadu BJP President Starts Religious Visit Without Permission

Tamil Nadu BJP president starts religious visits without permission, decided to continue. Tamil Nadu Pradesh BJP President L.P. Murugan took out a ‘Vetri Vall Yatra’ in Koyambedu on Sunday without the permission of the state government.

It is a month-long religious pilgrimage, starting from the Tiruthani temple in south Tamil Nadu to the six sites of Lord Murugan, and finishing at Tiruchendur in the southern part of the state.

The BJP leader said that the Tamil Nadu government allows other parties to procession and protest. Similarly, it is our constitutional right to take out the ‘Vatri Vall Yatra’.

However, an ambulance was stuck for nearly half an hour in this journey on the Punamalli High Road in Chennai on Sunday morning. The BJP leader was detained on November 6 and his supporters were barred from participating in the yatra.

Tamil Nadu government refused to travel due to Corona

The Tamil Nadu government has refused to allow the yatra due to the Corona epidemic, but the state BJP decided to continue the yatra. Murugan has already said that ‘Lord Murugan has given us permission.

I want to worship God and this is my constitutional right. Every person has the right to worship, so I am going to Tiruthani, because we have started the Vetri Vall Yatra.

The 2018 draft notification of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has been challenged by petitioning the Supreme Court. Through this, 56,825 sq km area of six states has been declared as Western Ghats Ecologically Sensitive Area (WGESA).

The Western Ghats extend to Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. UNESCO has included the Western Ghats as one of the eight most important biodiversity hotspots in the world.

Request to give instructions for not implementing recommendations

A petition has been filed in the apex court on behalf of Kerala-based non-governmental organization (NGO) ‘Karshak Shabdham’.

It has requested the Center and the Government of Kerala to direct the Western Ghats Ecology Expert Panel (WGEEP) and the High Level Working Group not to implement the recommendations.

WGEEP is also referred to as Gadgil Committee and High Level Working Group as Kasturirangan Committee.
