T20 World Cup: Do Or Die Match Between Ireland & Namibia

T20 World Cup 2021: Do or die match between Ireland and Namibia, The team which loses will be out of the race.

As Namibia and Ireland face each other in the final league match of the T20 World Cup Group A on Friday, it will be a do-or-die battle for the Super-12 race.

Both the teams have lost to Sri Lanka while the Netherlands has been defeated. Both have two points each. Sri Lanka has reached Super-12 and the Netherlands are out of the race.

Now the winner of this match will decide the second team of Group A going to the next round.

Ireland will be hoping for a better performance from the batsmen who did well against the Dutch team in the opening match but could not stand up to the Sri Lankan bowlers.

Apart from captain Andrew Balbirnie, none of his batsmen could run in front of Sri Lanka, and the team lost by 70 runs.

Fast bowlers Kurtis Kampfer (04 wickets), Joshua Little (05 wickets), and Mark Eder (05 wickets) performed well in the bowling and they will be expected to repeat this performance once again.

Namibia, on the other hand, will be looking to boost their spirits by registering their first win in the World Cup against the Netherlands.

The Namibian batsmen, who were dismissed for 96 in the first match, chased down the target of 165 runs with one over remaining.

Experienced all-rounder David Wiese put up a brilliant performance that would make him want to repeat it.

Bad news for New Zealand before T20 World Cup, the most important player got injured

The team has suffered a major setback before entering the ICC T20 World Cup. There is doubt about captain Kane Williamson’s play in the opening matches.

New Zealand head coach Gary Stead has revealed that captain Kane Williamson could miss some matches of the T20 World Cup due to an elbow injury.

England beat New Zealand by 13 runs in a warm-up match on Wednesday. Williamson was seen fielding in the match but did not bat as a precaution.

Stead said Williamson’s elbow injury worsened after the first warm-up match.

Williamson had scored 37 runs in 30 balls in that match, but New Zealand suffered a three-wicket defeat.

New Zealand team is placed in Group 2 along with India, Pakistan, Afghanistan. This team will also have two qualifier teams winning the first round.

New Zealand’s team will play the first match against Pakistan on 26 October.

Asked about the possibility of Williamson being out for a few matches, Stead said, “It is a possibility.” We hope he can play with the right rest and balance.
