In a letter released on Friday, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Javed Akhtar said that there has been an unprecedented boom in the demand for oxygen to treat corona patients. He points out that the Panchayat Expert Committee has analyzed oxygen usage according to the letter, which shows that oxygen therapy is non-judicious and excessive use without proper monitoring.
