Shopian Kashmir: 111 Feet High Tricolor Hoisted

Shopian Kashmir: 111 feet high tricolor hoisted proudly in the bastion of terrorism Shopian.

Once called the nursery of terror, Shopian is now proudly waving the tricolor. The national flag was hoisted on a 111-feet high pillar at the stadium here on Tuesday.

This is the tallest national flag pillar ever built in the Kashmir valley.

Army’s Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen DP Pandey hoisted the national flag on a 111-feet high pillar at the closing ceremony of Jashn-e-Janub on Tuesday.

Army’s 44 RR jawans and officers have established this pillar in the last ten days.

Major General Rashim Bali, GOC, Victor Force, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar, Inspector General of Police Kashmir.

RR Sector Commander Brigadier NS Grewal and other senior officers were present on the occasion.

Earlier, the national flag was hoisted on a 100-feet high pillar on Mount Hari in Srinagar, besides Khannabal in Anantnag and Gulmarg in north Kashmir.

Shopian Kashmir: On this occasion in South Kashmir, a sports competition was also held among the youth from different areas.

In this the performance of the youth of Pulwama was vigorous. The Corps Commander also honored the outstanding performing sportspersons.

Let us tell you that Shopian is considered a stronghold of terrorism. So far, the number of terrorists killed or the number of encounters in the Kashmir Valley.

the maximum number of encounters have taken place in this area. Almost all the notorious terrorists of the valley are residents of this area.

In such a situation, the national flag hoisted by the army here will weaken terrorism and strengthen the love of patriotism among the people here, who have been fighting this terrorism for many years.

These national flags are a tribute to Kashmiris who gave their lives for the country.

The national flags hoisted earlier in Kashmir’s Gulmarg, Hari Parvat, Anantnag’s Khannabal are indicative of the fact that Kashmir is an integral part of India.

Anti-national elements may try their best but the people of Kashmir will always remain Indians. These national flags have been established by the army with the help of the local people.

Hoisting the 100-feet-high tricolor on the country’s 75th Independence Day in Gulmarg.

Army’s Northern Command chief Lt Gen YK Joshi had said the flag would be a tribute to Kashmiris who made sacrifices for the country’s unity and integrity.

Let us also tell you that Gulmarg is adjacent to the Line of Control.

The Pakistani army had infiltrated from here in 1965. At that time a shepherd Mohammad Din had alerted the army, after which the Indian Army gave a befitting reply to Pakistan.

The tricolor hoisting proudly in Gulmarg pays tribute to all those martyrs.
