Shekhar Suman said, “I have never met a more professional actor than her. I remember that on the first day of the shooting, she was raided by the Income Tax Department.”

At such a time, any other actor would have packed his bag and run home. Rekha said, ‘Let them do their work, I will stay here and do my work.’

“I was afraid that my world would be ruined, she would go away and the film would be canceled, my dreams would be shattered.”
