Sensex & Nifty Lost Gains After Making All-Time High

Sensex & Nifty lost gains after making all-time high, rally in these stocks including Asian Paints.

Due to strong GDP data and fast inflow of foreign funds, the major stock index Sensex (BSE Sensex) climbed to an all-time high of 57,918.71 in early trade on Wednesday.

But this euphoria disappeared as the market closed. Sensex closed 214.18 points lower at 57,338.21 points.

The same was the case with Nifty 50. The NSE Nifty (Nifty 50 Index) also reached its all-time high of 17,225 but closed down 55.95 points at 17,076.25 at the close of trading in the evening.

During the morning trading, the biggest gain of 4 percent in Sensex was in Axis Bank (Axis Bank Stock Price). Later this rally came down to 1.5 percent. Asian Paints and Nestle India were the top gainers.

Apart from this, L&T, Bajaj Auto, and IndusInd Bank were also among the top gainers. On the other hand, Tata Steel, HDFC, Maruti, and Bajaj Finserv declined.

In Tuesday’s session, the BSE Sensex had closed 662.63 points or 1.16 percent higher at 57,552.39, while the Nifty was up 201.15 points or 1.19 percent at 17,132.20.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth Rs 3,881.16 crore on a gross basis on Tuesday. Meanwhile, international oil benchmark Brent crude rose 0.63 percent to $72.08 a barrel.

February 8, 2021- On this day, the Sensex closed above the 51,000 mark for the first time.

15 February 2021- On this day for the first time the Sensex crossed the 52,000 mark.

On 22 June 2021- Sensex reached 53,000 points during day trading.

On 7 July 2021 – Sensex closed above the 53,000 marks for the first time.

August 4, 2021 – On this day, the Sensex crossed the 54,000 mark for the first time during the day’s trading. Later it closed above this level.

August 13, 2021 – Sensex closed at this level after crossing the 55,000 mark for the first time.

On August 18, 2021-During trading, the Sensex crossed the 56,000 mark.

27 August 2021 – Sensex closes above the 56,000 mark for the first time.

August 31, 2021 – Sensex closed above this level for the first time after crossing the 57,000 mark.
