In view of the tension between the two communities in Rajouri, the administration has imposed restrictions and completely banned the opening of shops and coming out of the houses.

No person is allowed to step out of the house. Police vehicles are running on the roads that section 144 has been implemented in the city, no person should come out of the houses

. The kind of restriction that has been implemented is that it is applicable only during the curfew.

On Thursday, in the heart of Rajouri city, the people of both communities had staked their claim over a part of the land.

Section 144 implemented in Rajouri:  People of the Hindu community were telling this place as the place of the temple, and the people of the Muslim community as the mosque.

Due to this, there was an atmosphere of tension in the area and the people of the Muslim community announced a demonstration after the Friday Prayers.

After which there was a possibility of law and order breakdown in the area.

In view of this apprehension, around 5 o’clock in the morning, the administration imposed strict restrictions by implementing Section 144 in the entire city.

Neither a person can come out of the house nor any vehicle can ply the roads.

All the roads leading into the city have been sealed. Police and paramilitary personnel are continuously patrolling and all those who are out on the streets are being sent back to their homes.

Case registered against Assistant Commissioner accused of harassing subordinate for not eating meat.

On Thursday, a case was registered against the Assistant Commissioner of Panchayat Department Abdul Rashid Kohli.

He made objectionable remarks about the religion of his subordinate employee for not eating meat, the police started the search for the accused. So he can be arrested at any time.

Panchayat Secretary Sanjit Sharma had given a written complaint against Abdul Rashid Kohli to the District Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri on Wednesday.

In this, he had told that he was harassed by Abdul Rashid Kohli for not eating meat while eating at a private hotel in the Muradpur area of ​​Rajouri district.

He had alleged that Kohli asked him to eat beef and had also commented on the Vedas.

Following this complaint, District Development Commissioner Vikas Kundal immediately suspended Kohli and constituted an inquiry committee.

Now the police have registered a case against Kohli and started searching his place. Police have also questioned some employees in this case.

Rajouri SSP Mohammad Aslam Kohli said that we have registered a case against Abdul Rashid Kohli under section 153A of RPC. He will be arrested soon.
