Normal life has been disrupted due to rain. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of the state Basavaraj Bommai has taken stock of several areas of the capital.

CM Bommai visited the areas of Bengaluru on Friday morning. He has given necessary directions to the officials.

School-college closed in Dharwad.

On the other hand, a holiday has been declared in schools and colleges in the Dharwad district. All schools and colleges in the district will remain closed for a day due to heavy rains.

Dress for PU students in Karnataka.

Following the order of the Karnataka High Court regarding the Hijab controversy.

The Department of Pre-University Education has made it mandatory for Pre-University (PU) students to dress prescribed by the College Development Committee from the academic year 2022-to 23.

It has been said that even if the college development committee or management does not prescribe any dress, the students will have to wear clothes that will maintain equality and unity.

This is stated in the admission guidelines for the academic year 2022-23.

In the wake of the hijab controversy, the Karnataka government issued an order in February making it mandatory for students of state schools and pre-university colleges to wear the prescribed dress.

The High Court had on March 15 dismissed the petitions filed by some Muslim girl students, seeking permission to wear the hijab inside the classroom.

The Foundation stone of the world’s largest integrated renewable energy harvesting project was laid in Andhra Pradesh.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Reddy laid the foundation stone of the ‘First Concrete Crossing Ceremony’ of the world’s largest Integrated Renewable Energy Harvesting Project.

The project is being undertaken by Greenco Group in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.

This 5230 MW Integrated Renewable Energy Storage Project will play a vital role in ensuring energy security in India and enable energy transition globally.
