S Jaishankar’s Strong Response To Trudeau: Canada’s Handling Of Extremism Questioned

S Jaishankar’s strong response to Trudeau: Canada’s handling of extremism questioned.

S Jaishankar’s latest remarks during his US tour highlight India’s concerns about Canada’s stance on extremism. Learn about the diplomatic tensions and extradition issues.

S Jaishankar gave a befitting reply to Trudeau, saying- Do not make what is happening in Canada a normal incident.

On Saturday, in the last leg of his US tour, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar once again gave a concrete message to the Canadian government that it will have to take action against extremist elements working against the geographical integrity of India.

Pointing towards the countries advising India on this issue, the External Affairs Minister said that the way Indian diplomats have been subjected to violence and they have been threatened, would the same have happened to the diplomats of any other country?

There was violence and posters were put up in front of the consulates. Do you consider this normal? Don’t normalize what’s happening in Canada.

The Foreign Minister said we have been having problems with the Canadian government for some years. The current problem really revolves around the permissibility of terrorism, extremism, and violence.

This permissiveness is also reflected in the fact that some significant extradition requests have not been responded to by Canada.

Jaishankar made it clear that the possibility of talks with Canada is not over yet.

The issue of Canada has dominated the Foreign Minister’s visit to America during the last three days.

A day earlier, in bilateral talks with US Foreign Minister Antony Blinken, the issue of allegations of murder leveled by the Canadian government against Indian agencies was also raised.

In a public program, Jaishankar had accused Canada of giving shelter to terrorists and extremists.

In the press conference, the Foreign Minister said that if the Canadian government gives any information regarding the killing of pro-Khalistan terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, then India will look into it.

The governments of both countries will talk about the incident being mentioned (Nijjar murder) and see what can be done further.
