Russia and Ukraine are nearing three months of the war. The war between the two countries has caused great devastation.

Meanwhile, Russia claimed on Thursday that 1,730 Ukrainian fighters had surrendered in Maripol in three days, including 771 in the past 24 hours.

The final outcome of the bloody battle between Russia and Ukraine still remains publicly unresolved.

The Russian Defense Ministry says Ukrainian fighters have almost surrendered at the Azovstal plant in the war-torn city of Mariupol so far this week.

Russian troops stormed the plant on 19 April and destroyed large areas of it.

However, despite the overwhelming numbers of Russian troops, Ukrainian troops stood for several days.

There is a stir in the embassies of Ukraine, the return of Swiss and American diplomats to Kyiv.

Most countries have closed their embassies in Ukraine after the Russian attack. Now about three months later, the US and Switzerland have decided to reopen their embassies in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv.

Apart from this, there are many western countries that are opening their embassies in Kyiv.

The Embassy of Switzerland is opening with five staff, including the country’s ambassador. All these will be sent to the capital of Ukraine in the next few days.

This information has been given by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland. About two and a half months ago the embassy was closed for security reasons.

The US has also reopened its embassy in Ukraine after three months.

When Russia attacked, the US withdrew its diplomats or transferred the country’s other city to Lviv or neighboring Poland. Now all of them are reaching back to Kyiv.

Russia expels 85 foreign diplomats.

The Russian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday expelled 34 French diplomats from the country in retaliation.

With this, 27 diplomats from Spain and 24 from Italy have been expelled. These countries had expelled Russian diplomats in protest against Russia’s attack on Ukraine.

In April, the French government twice expelled 41 Russian diplomats from Paris, believing them to be indulging in activities against the national interest.

European countries have expelled more than 300 Russian diplomats since the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
