Russia Attacked Ukraine’s Railway Station, 15 Killed

Russia attacked Ukraine’s railway station, 15 killed; 50 injured: Russia Ukraine War.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine marked six months on Wednesday.

Ukraine celebrates Independence Day only on 24 August, but no major events were held due to government restrictions on fears of a major attack by the Russian military.

But in the evening the government’s apprehension proved to be correct. 15 people were killed in a Russian military rocket attack on a railway station in eastern Ukraine.

Ukraine was reborn 31 years ago – Zelensky.

Standing in front of a monument in the heart of Kyiv, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine was reborn 31 years ago.

On that day it came out of Moscow’s control and independent Ukraine was created. This independence of Ukraine will be upheld at all costs.

Zelensky addressed the United Nations Security Council.

15 people were killed and 50 injured on Wednesday in a Russian rocket attack on a railway station in the town of Chaplin in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk province.

This information was given by President Zelensky in his address to the United Nations Security Council via video link.

Amidst the curfew, shelling continued on Wednesday in the war-torn areas of Kharkiv and Donetsk provinces. Fighting continues in several cities in the south of Ukraine.

Two UK employees were arrested.

Meanwhile, the head of the Russian-controlled Mikhailivka town in Ukraine’s Zaporizhia region has been killed in a car bombing. The officers killed were appointed by the Russian government.

In another development, two Ukrainian employees working at the Zaporizhia nuclear plant have been arrested by Russian soldiers.

Both employees are accused of passing information related to the plant to the Ukrainian government.

Russia attacked Ukraine’s railway station: 9 thousand soldiers were killed in Ukraine.

In the six-month-long war, nine thousand Ukrainian soldiers have been killed, while 15 thousand Russian soldiers are estimated to be killed.

Many cities in Ukraine have been reduced to ruins while a large number of vehicles and weapons of the Russian military have been destroyed.

Will recapture Crimea.

Zelensky said the Russian attack has reinvigorated national sentiment. On the strength of that, we are fighting the Russian army and have forced it to retreat in many places.

“We did not run to escape this attack, left nothing and we will not forget it,” Zelensky said.

“We will recapture all the lost territories, including Crimea,” he said. Zelensky has spoken for the first time about the annexation of Crimea. Crimea was annexed by Russia in 2014.

IAEA experts to visit Zaporizhia soon.

Shelling and rocket attacks continue in the vicinity of Ukraine’s Zaporizhia nuclear plant. Due to this, there is a possibility of a nuclear accident.

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Rafael Grossi has said that a team of experts from the agency will soon visit the nuclear plant and see the safety measures there.

The plant came under the control of the Russian military in March.
