Hundreds of people took to the streets shouting slogans in the Rajkamal Chowk area of ​​this eastern Maharashtra city, located about 670 km from the state capital.

On Friday, over 8,000 people gathered outside the Amravati District Collector’s office to submit a memorandum, demanding a stop to atrocities against the minority community.

After handing over the memorandum, stones were pelted at three places between Chitra Chowk and Cotton Bazar of the Kotwali police station area.

The police have so far registered 11 FIRs and arrested ten people on various charges including rioting.

At the same time, former Maharashtra CM and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said that the riots happening in Maharashtra are absolutely wrong about the incident which did not happen in Tripura.

Rumors were spread that a mosque was burnt in Tripura. The police there have also released the photo of that mosque.

Despite this, fronts were taken out and violence was done in Maharashtra, shops of people of Hindu society were burnt, I condemn it.

High Court cannot quash FIR on draft charge sheet: Supreme Court.

In a significant decision, the Supreme Court on Friday said high courts cannot rely on a draft charge sheet not filed by the police in a magistrate’s court to quash criminal proceedings.

The top court said that it is an age-old law that the High Court should exercise its inherent powers under section 482 with restraint and caution.
