Rohingyas In Jammu Kashmir: Rohingya Ready To Return

Rohingyas in Jammu Kashmir: Rohingya ready to return to Myanmar, but do not want to stay in the holding center.

The Rohingya living in various camps in Jammu are ready to return to their home (Myanmar), but they do not want to stay in the administration’s holding center.

After the action of the administration last Saturday, people living in Rohingya camps are worried about the future.

Kareni Talab, the largest camp of Rohingyas, houses 135 families. 31 Rohingya have been sent to the holding center from here. Some members of his family still remain in the camp.

Abu Samhad, who came out with his wife and six children from Kareni pond, told that everyone has decided that if they go, all will go to the holding center together. Otherwise, they will go back home.

Last Saturday, a few selected people have been taken to the holding center in Hiranagar Jail. Many have young children and pregnant women separated from them.

This situation does not happen with everyone, so all the people living in the camp have decided to gather in Bathindi. Rohingya families leaving the camp were sent back by the police personnel in a sensible manner.

Mobile phones and money were taken from the holding center: Abdul Salim, a Rohingya youth living in Jammu for five years, said that his neighbor was taken from Jammu to Kathua Hoksldag Center on Saturday.

He last spoke to the family over the evening that he was being taken to the Hiranagar jail. His mobile phone and cash are being taken as he enters the jail. Since then, his phone is off.

Rohingyas demonstrated in Bathindi to demand the release of their companions.

The Parrots of the Rohingyas living illegally in Jammu and Kashmir have flown up after a rampage. On the one hand, they are also searching for a safe place for themselves and on the other side.

They were demonstrating on Sunday demanding the release of 168 Rohingyas caught on Saturday. The Rohingyas gathered near the Mecca Masjid in Bathindi to protest.

However, the police and CRPF personnel stationed there understandably returned the protesting Rohingya to their camp. During this time, Bathindi was converted into a cantonment.
