Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant was injured on the third day of the third Test of the four-match series being played at the Sydney Cricket Ground between India and Australia.

While batting in India’s first innings, Pant was hit by a pace ball from Australian fast bowler Pat Cumming. The match had to be stopped for a long time after the injury.

After being dismissed, Pant was taken for a scan and in his place Wriddhiman Saha took wicket-keeping.

On the third day of the third Test match against Australia, the Indian innings was led by captain Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara.

Rahane lost his wicket by scoring 22 runs, but Pujara stayed on. After this, Hanuma Vihari also returned after being run out.

After falling 4 wickets, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant stepped on the field. He was injured in the 85th over of the innings and then had to stop the match for 15 minutes.

Pant gets high speed from Cummins

Batting at 34, Pant received a high ball from Cummins, going straight to the elbow. Due to the speed of the ball, the batsman got the ball very fast, due to which, he was moved with pain.

The match was immediately halted and Fizzio came running to the ground. Pant’s injury looked serious but he decided to continue the game.

Fijio patted him on the arm and then Pant started batting, although he could not drag his innings too long and was dismissed only after adding just 2 runs to the score.

He was dismissed for 36 off 67 balls with 4 fours. Pant had to stop the match for 15 minutes due to an injury.

How serious is Pant’s injury

When Australia came out to bat in the second innings, Saha was seen handling the wicketkeeping responsibility for India. He was taken for a scan to find out if Pant’s injury was serious.

After 13 years, this happened again with Team India, no team would like to repeat

There were four run outs in the third match of the four-match Test series being played between India and Australia.

Steve Smith, who played a century in Australia’s first innings, was run out at the throw of Ravindra Jadeja, one of the finest fielders in the world.

So in the first innings, three players of India Hanuma Vihari, R Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah were run out.

This happened to India after 3 years

Three batsmen were run out during the 2008 Mohali Test against England. Then Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman and Yuvraj Singh were among the players who were run out.

In Test cricket, the highest number of four batsmen have been run out in 1955 against Pakistan in 1955.

Apart from this, twice against West Indies, Team India has done it once against England, South Africa, and Sri Lanka.
