Ram Madhav BJP National General Secretary In Andhra Pradesh

Ram Madhav BJP National General Secretary In Andhra Pradesh.Ram Madhav asked- Why does Andhra Pradesh want three capitals despite less population than UP.

BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav on Tuesday wondered why Andhra Pradesh needs three capitals while a state with more than four times the population like Uttar Pradesh has only one capital.

Addressing a BJP event in Vijayawada, he warned that three capitals should not become a tool of triple corruption. He called upon the party workers of Andhra Pradesh to fight against corruption and to protect the interests of the farmers of Amravati who have given their land for the development of the capital.

Ram Madhav said that the role of the Center on the issue of capitals is limited, but this does not mean that it should not be questioned. He called on the workers to work to achieve state power in 2024, ‘Don’t try to go into battle with a gun on Modi’s shoulder.

If you do this then only one percent (BJP’s vote percentage in 2019 election) will remain.

He said that Modi will be the Prime Minister for the next 10-15 years. We will benefit from their good governance and people-oriented programs, but this is not enough.

The goal is to emerge as a powerful force. Legislative Council member Somu Veeraraju took charge as BJP state president on the occasion.

Andhra Pradesh will now have not one but three capital

Governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan gave his approval to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s plan to have three capital cities of Andhra Pradesh. The Jagan Mohan government plans to make Visakhapatnam the executive capital, Amravati as the legislative capital and Kurnool as the judicial capital.

The Governor approved the AP Decentralization and Composite Development Bill 2020 for all sectors and the AP Capital Region Development Authority (Amended) Bill 2020.

With the approval of the Governor, both the bills have now formally become law, but the government will have to remove the legal hurdles before the three capitals plan can be realigned. The issue is currently pending in the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
