Raksha Bandhan OTT Release Date: Akshay Kumar’s family drama film ‘Raksha Bandhan’ was released in theaters on August 11.

Apart from Akshay, Bhumi Pednekar was also seen in the lead role in the film directed by Aanand L Rai.

Its direct competition at the box office was with Aamir Khan’s film ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. Both these films got mixed responses from the audience and critics but the loss was more to ‘Raksha Bandhan’.

For those fans of Akshay Kumar who missed watching his film ‘Raksha Bandhan’ in theaters due to any reason, now there is good news for them.

Soon the streaming of ‘Raksha Bandhan’ will be started on the OTT platform ZEE5.

Released on 11th August, Rakshabandhan will be released on OTT on 5th October to coincide with the celebrations of Dussehra.

Streaming platform ZEE5 made the announcement on its Twitter handle on Saturday, October 1, and wrote, “Get ready for laughter, happiness, and lots of fun! Because #Rakshabandhan is coming only on #ZEE5.

Let us tell you that ‘Raksha Bandhan’ was the third film in Akshay Kumar’s films released this year and its condition was the worst.

The film did a total business of 44.39 crores at the box office. It had taken an opening of 8.20 crores, only then it was clear that it is not going to do anything special in the coming days as well.

The film started dying at the ticket window in the first week itself.

Apart from Akshay Kumar and Bhumi, the film directed by Aanand L Rai stars Saadia Khatib, Deepika Khanna, Smriti Shrikant, and Sahajmeen Kaur as Akshay’s four sisters.

Seema Pahwa, Neeraj Sood, Abhilash Thapliyal, and Manu Rishi Chadha were also seen in supporting roles.

This year, Akshay Kumar’s four films Samrat Prithviraj, Bachchan Pandey, Raksha Bandhan, and Katputli have come.

Akshay will next be seen in the action-adventure drama Ram Setu, which will release on October 25, a day after Diwali festivities.
