Adani Group’s Logistics Park in Ludhiana has closed a few days ago. Now the company has laid off about 400 workers due to the closure of Adani Group’s silo plant in Vath village of Ferozepur.

The great thing is that most of the youth working here belong to the families of the farmers. Wheat and rice are stored here.

The special thing is that most of the unemployed workers are from farmer families. The company says that we have taken this difficult decision after several level talks with the farmer leaders.

The matter is going on in the local court. The court had ordered the government to take steps to remove the farmers sitting on dharna outside the plant.

The administration’s efforts proved unsuccessful.

DC Gurpal Singh Chahal says that we are trying to find a middle way by talking to the farmers. But the farmer is not ready to give up.

The workers evicted from here were working on a contract. He says that now a big problem has arisen for him.

He openly opposed the lathi charge on the farmers in Karnal. All India Kisan Sabha leaders burnt an effigy of Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar in protest.
