Punjab bandh on 25th and rail jam from 24 to 26 in protest of agricultural bills, Congress MLA’s resignation. In Punjab, the farmers are raging against the agricultural bills. Farmers’ organizations have declared a Punjab bandh on 25 September.

With this, they will jam the rail wheel from 24 to 26 September. On the other hand, Congress MLA from Fatehgarh Sahib Kuljit Nagra has resigned as MLA in protest against the Agriculture Bill. He informed about his resignation by tweeting.

Nagra said that he does not want to be a witness of this dark day and as the elected representative of the people, he cannot tolerate that the Central Government is treating this kind of farmers and we should remain silent. My soul is not allowing this, so I have resigned as MLA in support of farmers.

It is worth noting that Kuljeet Nagra is considered a member of Rahul Gandhi’s youth brigade and has been elected Congress MLA from Fatehgarh Saheb for the second consecutive time. In 2012, the youth who got tickets from Rahul Gandhi’s quota were also named Kuljit Nagra.

Nagra, who has also been a student leader of Punjab University, said that this is her personal decision. He has not resigned under any pressure. In the recent reshuffle at the national level by the Congress party, only Nagra was taken from Punjab.

On the other hand, the anger of the farmers against the agricultural ordinance did not stop. The Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee Punjab has decided to stop the roll across the state for 48 hours from 24 September to 26 September.

A call for a Punjab bandh was also made on September 25 on the call of the Synergy Sangharsh Committee based on 250 farmer laborers of the country. The farmers said that markets will also not be allowed to open.

Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee General Secretary Saravan Singh Pandher said that we have decided to launch a rail roko movement in Punjab from 24 to 26 September. In the meantime, the wheels of trains will be blocked in the state against the agricultural and anti-farm labor bills.

On September 20, it was also decided to send batches to the ongoing dharna in Badal and Patiala villages of former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. The farmers staged a sit-in outside Powercom office in Patiala on Thursday. The goods road was also blocked for an hour.

Farmers in Amritsar announced that the Jail Bharo movement is going on outside in the DC office across the state. The movement will continue till 1 October. The farmers demanded that the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission be implemented. Shantkumar Committee proposals should be canceled.
