The Kerala Catholic Bishops Council (KCBC) has fiercely targeted Congress leader and former Chief Minister Oommen Chandy’s son Chandy Oman for allegedly supporting the conversion of Hagia Sophia Church into a mosque in Turkey.

KCBC said in a statement that spreading communalism is not right for gaining votes in elections. Young leaders must understand history while acting like political leaders. His speech has hurt the Christian community.

Chandy Oman has justified the leader of the Muslim League who supported the conversion of the church into a mosque. What is the purpose of anti-Christian acts through this immature behavior.

The council said that such communal statements would hurt the society before the elections. Youth Congress leader Chandy Oman said in the Youth League program, ‘Thousands of churches are being converted into bars in England and Spain.

Nobody has problems with that. Thousands of churches were being converted into dance bars for the last 30-40 years and no one had any problem. However, it is being used for communal division.

The general secretary of the Hinduist organization ‘Hindu Aikya Vedi’, R.H., on the call for a boycott of a bakery selling halal food in Kerala. Babu was arrested.
