Producer Dinesh Vijan ready for a giant leap in OTT space, Nepean Capital buys 50% partnership in Maddock Films.

Nepean Capital has bought a fifty percent stake in producer Dinesh Vijan’s company Maddock Films, which has produced successful films like Love Aaj Kal, Cocktail, Badlapur, Stree, Luka Chuppi, and Mimi.

Producer Dinesh Vijan is very excited about the partnership with Nepean Capital and expects to strengthen his position in the OTT space with this investment.

In a statement, Dinesh said- “This is a great phase for content companies. I am proud of the kind of work Maddock has presented to the world.”

“The growth capital we needed to spread our film experience in the OTT space will come from Nepean private equity investment, which will help us give a new flight to young storytellers.”

On the other hand, Gautam Trivedi, Managing Partner, Nepean Capital said, “We are excited to invest in Maddock Films, India’s leading film production studio.

Maddock is a young and dynamic company, which is known for making content-oriented films within a fixed budget.

Let us tell you, Mumbai-based Nepean Capital is a fund management firm, which invests in private and public markets.

Talking about Maddock Films, it was founded by Dinesh Vijan in 2005. Since then, Maddock has produced many successful and acclaimed films.

Maddock’s last release was Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon’s Hum Do Hamare Do, which aired on Disney Plus Hotstar.

Wolf and Tenth are slated for release in 2022. Dash stars Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam, and Nimrat Kaur in lead roles, while Bhediya features Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in lead roles.

Apart from this, another film is under production, in which Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan are in lead roles.

The title of this film has not been decided yet. After this deal, speculations are being made loudly for Maddock Films to enter the OTT space.
