Former MPs RPN Singh, Rajeev Shukla and Vivek Bansal have also been made in charge of different states along with PL Punia, active MP in Dalit politics in UP. Of these, Punia, RPN and Rajiv Shukla have been in charge before, while Vivek Bansal has been given the new responsibility.

Salman Khurshid is a permanent member of the CWC. Party leaders believe that increasing the stature of the state leaders can also benefit in the UP assembly elections, because a positive message will go to their supporters.
