During this, the steps that can be taken to deal with the increasing gun violence crimes in the country were discussed.

Attorney General Merrick Garland was also in the meeting in the Roosevelt Room on Monday, Xinhua news agency reported.

During this, the President said that efforts have been made for a long time to stop gun-related violence in America.

He also said that the purpose of the meeting was to hear from local officials about what has happened in their communities.

Simultaneously, the President said that he through his own approach highlighted measures to hold gun dealers accountable for violating existing law and to crack down on illegal gun smuggling.

Simultaneously, Joe Biden emphasized the importance of supporting local law enforcement.

It also emphasized investing in community policing through its $1.9 trillion ‘American Rescue Plan’, hiring police and paying them overtime.
