In the last few days, the fire has spread over 30,000 acres in a single day and now a total of 1,020 firefighters are engaged in extinguishing it.

The fire spread up to 647 square kilometers.

US Representative Teresa Léger Fernandez said during a briefing by the US Forest Service on Wednesday that the president declared the disaster.

Adding to efforts to control the fire, which is 250 square miles (647 square kilometers) high and widespread in alpine forests and meadows.

“It will help us in that reconstruction and it will help us deal with the expenses and difficulties that people are facing now,” said the Congresswoman MP. ‘We are glad this announcement was made quickly.’

Fire officials said that it is our goal to take the right resources to the right areas and use them in the best way.

Scientists and fire experts say that the danger of fire in the forests of this area remains throughout the year. Now this threat is increasing rapidly due to climate change.

Nationally, the National Interagency Fire Center reported Wednesday that more than a dozen major fires have burned nearly 436 square miles (1,129 square kilometers) in five states, including New Mexico.

More than 3,500 wildland firefighters and support personnel have been assigned to burn fires across the country.

People have yet to be ordered out of town, many residents have packed their bags and are ready to go, and local school districts have canceled classes.

An estimated 15,500 homes on the outskirts and in the valleys of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains bordering the city have been affected by the mandatory evacuation.

The number of houses destroyed by the fire is about 170. According to US media reports, evacuation orders have been issued in parts of New Mexico.
