Signs of change in JDS stance, party will support anti-slaughter bill in Legislative Council

MLC of Janata Dal (S) Basavaraj Horatti, hinting at a change in his party’s stance, said his party would support the anti-cow slaughter bill in the Karnataka Legislative Council.

Horatti, while answering a question, said on Thursday that the question of opposition to this bill no longer arises. He said that the question of majority naturally arises if the government changes in the Legislative Council.

If important bills are coming then they have to be passed. JD S and BJP have a total of 45 members (in the 75-member council). Therefore, there is no question of bringing down the Bill. We will support the hundred percent bill.
