Politics heated up in the US about Neera Tandon of Indian origin, differences emerged in the ruling Democratic Party, know the whole matter.

Differences have emerged in the Democratic Party over the nomination of US President Joe Biden as director of the White House’s Office of Management and Budget.

Senator Joe Manchin of the ruling party has announced to vote against her nomination. In such a situation, the confirmation of the appointment of 50-year-old Tandon now depends largely on the support of a Republican senator.

The deadlock may increase in the Democratic Party over Neera. By going against the party, President Biden has asserted his faith in Neera.

Biden expresses confidence in Neera

On the other hand, Biden said on Friday that he had a substantial majority to confirm Tandon’s appointment. If her appointment is confirmed, she will be the first black and Indian-origin woman to hold this position.

Manchin is a senator from West Virginia and is considered a liberal Democrat. He said, ‘I believe that the unilateral statement made by Neera Tandon will have an impact on the important work of MPs and management and budget office.

Because of this, I cannot support her nomination. I had also said earlier that we should take meaningful steps to remove the divisions that have entered politics.

Voting on Neera may be held in the Senate

Neera’s appointment may go to the Senate. The 100-member Senate has 50-50 members of the Republican and Democratic Party. The tilt of support from Vice President Kamal Harris’s vote is expected to favor the Democratic Party.

In such a situation, the importance of the vote of Manchin increases. If he votes against the nomination, the Republican Party’s work will become easier, with most of its leaders opposing Tandon’s nomination.

Tandon had previously called Mick McConnell, the leader of minority in the Senate, a ‘Voldemort.

Neera apologizes to top Republican leaders.

Neera Tandon’s debates with Senator Bernie Sanders and his supporters on online platforms as well. Neera first apologized during the debate for her nomination, targeting longtime top Republican leaders on social media.

She also deleted more than a thousand tweets written in this regard. A former advisor to Hillary Clinton, Neera has also served as the president of the Center for American Progress, a liberal-minded.
