Police Says J&K’s Doda Region Is Present ‘Militancy Free’

Police says Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda region is present ‘Militancy Free’ Subsequent to the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen militant. In a joint activity by police and armed forces in the Khulchohar territory of Anantnag region by the police and the Military on Monday, an aggregate of three militants were killed.

These included two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militants, including one area commander, and one Hizbul Mujahideen militant of the name Masood. With the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen militant Masood in an encounter in South Kashmir, the Doda locale has become militancy free, police said on Monday.

In a joint activity in the Khulchohar region of Anantnag locale by the police and the Military on Monday, an aggregate of three deadly militants were killed. These included two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) deadly militants, including one region authority, and one Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist of the name Masood.

“Doda region in Jammu Zone turns out to be absolutely militancy free indeed as Masood was a last enduring deadly terrorist of the Doda Area,” Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police Dilbag Singh said.

The police said Masood was engaged with an assault case and was slipping away. He later joined the Hizbul Mujahideen and moved his territory of activity to Kashmir. Arms and ammo, including an AK 47 rifle and two guns were recuperated from the killed fear based oppressors.

“Three deadly terrorists dispensed within the resulting gunfight. One AK and two Guns recouped. Joint Activity in progress,” Armed force said in a short articulation.

As indicated by the subtleties, the joint forces of the army and police had propelled a cordon and search activity (CASO) based on explicit data about the presence of terrorists in the area. As the cordon was fixed, the concealing deadly terrorists terminated at the security forces which set off the encounter.
