Police caught four Kashmiri Muslim youths who turned out to be terrorists, after counseling, family members will be handed over.

Police on Tuesday caught four youths who turned out to be terrorists due to misleading propaganda on internet media in the Valley.

Currently, the counseling of the four is going on and after that, they will be handed over to their family members. These fodder turned out to be terrorists are youths of district Ganderbal and district Budgam.

SAP Ganderbal Khalil Poswal said that two youths from Batwina and Kurhama villages suddenly disappeared from their homes in the last few days.

Their family members had lodged a complaint about his disappearance at the nearby police station. When we started investigating, it was found that both the youth were in constant contact with each other.

We also interacted with some of his friends and also checked his profile on internet media. During this time, our hands got some important clues.

On the basis of these clues, we also spoke to his family members, he was surprised, because he had no idea of the activities of his sons. Both these youths were in constant contact with the jihadi elements through internet media.

SSP Ganderbal said that when the scope of the investigation was extended on the basis of all available security, it was found that both the missing youth had gone to Shopian in South Kashmir to become terrorists with one of their handlers.

Some specific places in Shopian were identified and both were captured.

During interrogation, both the youths said that they had come in contact with some terrorist elements through internet media and it was only at their behest that they went to Shopian to become terrorists.

At present, the counseling of both is going on. Meanwhile, in Budgam, the police have saved two local youths from becoming terrorists.

Both these young men had left their homes on Sunday to become terrorists. They were to join a group of militants active in the Tral of District Pulwama in South Kashmir.

The police apprehended the two from a particular place near Avantipore. The police officers concerned said that both of these have also been prepared to become terrorists through internet media.

Their handlers, who kept in constant contact with them on the Internet media, sent them to Tral.

IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that the police have saved four youths of Budgam and Ganderbal from becoming terrorists during the last 24 hours.

These four have returned home. In the initial investigation, it has once again become clear that terrorist elements sitting in Pakistan are tricking them by contacting the Kashmiri youth on the internet media.

In many cases, parents do not even know when their children fell prey to jihadi elements. They only know when the son becomes a terrorist or is killed in an encounter with the security forces.
