PM Modi to visit Kolkata on 23 January, will address the function of ‘Parakram Divas’. PM Narendra Modi will visit Kolkata on January 23 to address the ‘Parakram Divas’, the 125th birthday of the great freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the founder of Azad Hind Fauj.
Apart from this, PM will also visit Jeranga Path in Sivasagar, Assam to distribute 1.06 lakh land lease/allotment certificates. The Prime Minister’s Office has given information about this. Recently, the central government made another big announcement regarding Netaji’s birthday.
According to this, his birthday on 23 January will now be celebrated every year in the country and the world as Parakram Divas. Even before this, the central government had decided to celebrate his 125th birthday in a grand and year-round manner.
Recently, an 85-member high-level committee has been formed under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Union Tourism and Culture Minister Prahlad Singh Patel on Tuesday informed about the government’s decision to celebrate Netaji’s birthday as Parakram Diwas. He also informed me about the events to be held on January 23, 2021, on Netaji’s 125th birthday.
The main event will be held in Kolkata, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will attend. Apart from this, a grand event will also be held in Cuttack (Odisha) on Netaji’s birthday. It will include Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Along with this, a framework has been chalked out for organizing programs at all places associated with Netaji. There will also be big events in Haripur (Gujarat) and Tripuri (Madhya Pradesh).
In response to a question, Union Minister Patel said that it has nothing to do with politics. It is just a coincidence that there are elections in Bengal in the next few months.
Apart from Netaji, this year also marks the 150th birthday of Maharishi Arvind and the 250th birthday of Raja Ram Mohan Roy. Both of these are also associated with Bengal.
On the question related to calling Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, she said that she has been sent an invitation. Whether the government’s decision is political or not, it cannot be ignored that Netaji is associated with the pride of Bengal. The documents related to Netaji were also made public during the Modi government itself.
