The Delhi-Meerut Expressway is one of the ambitious projects of the Narendra Modi government in power at the Center. It was to be completed only last year, but due to Corona virus infection, its work could not be done at the speed that was expected.

In such a situation, NHI has clearly told the construction companies that they have to complete the work of Delhi Meerut Expressway by 5 March.

According to the information received, construction companies were constantly demanding that they get a chance to complete the remaining construction work on Delhi Meerut Expressway by 31 March.

At the same time, the concerned ministry has clearly stated that the Delhi Meerut Expressway is to be opened to the public before Holi. In such a situation, they will have to prepare the expressway by 5 March. Companies also agree on this and work is going on fast in this regard.

In the second phase, a 19-km 14-lane expressway between UP Gate to Dasna is being prepared. ROBs are also under construction for 14 lanes in view of the 19 km expressway. A 32-km 6-lane green expressway between Dasna to Meerut is being prepared.

A 700-meter elevated road from Dasna to EPE (Eastern Peripheral Expressway) is being prepared. The work of Paratapur Loop and ROB is in the final climax.

Mudit Garg (Project Director, NHAI) says that the time limit has been extended due to delays in construction works. Directed the companies to complete the work on time by putting additional resources. It is to be inaugurated before Holi in March.
