Uttarakhand: BJP wins Sultt by-election, along with Vijay, introspection is also necessary.

At first glance, it may seem unexpected if one starts analyzing the results of the by-election for one seat of Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha among the results of assembly elections in states like Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam.

However, it is also true that small gestures in politics also have big implications. Many political parties have suffered the brunt of ignoring such signs.

The Salt Assembly seat of District Almora in Uttarakhand was vacant after the death of Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Surendra Singh Jeena.

The party contested this seat to his brother Mahesh Jeena and he also won the election as expected. He defeated Ganga Pancholi of Congress by four and a half thousand votes.

Seeing it as a victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party and a defeat of the Congress will be considered as an oversimplification of the election result.
