PM Modi Reminded Jawaharlal Nehru’s Speech About Goa

PM Modi reminded Jawaharlal Nehru’s speech, said – Panditji forced Goa to remain a slave for 15 years.

In the Rajya Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi not only took on the Congress but also the country’s first PM Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

In a scathing attack on Nehru, Modi on Tuesday said Goa had to remain a slave for years to maintain its image at the international level.

PM Modi reminded Jawaharlal Nehru’s speech: Modi said, “This year marks the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Goa.

The way Sardar Patel took the initiative for Hyderabad and Junagadh, if lessons were taken from him, Goa would not have lived in slavery for another 15 years.

Goa would have become independent long ago. Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was concerned about his international image.

Therefore, he thought that if the foreign government of Goa was attacked, his image of a peace-loving global leader would suffer. So he let Goa trouble him.

When our fellow Indians, Satyagrahis were being fired upon, he said that he would not send our army. Nehru left the satyagrahis to die in 1955.

Modi said that ‘Nehru Ji in his address from the Red Fort on 15 August 1955 had said- ‘There is no doubt that we will take some secret step for Goa.

There is no army around Goa. Some people within India want us to be forced to send troops there. We will not even send a soldier, we will solve it peacefully and everyone should understand this.

Those visiting Goa are welcome, but it should be remembered that those who call themselves Satyagrahis should remember the principles of Satyagraha.

Sending the army is not a method of Satyagraha. Modi said that this arrogance of Nehru kept Goa from liberation for many years.

Indira Gandhi also targeted-

Not only this, but Modi also attacked former Prime Minister Late Indira Gandhi. Modi said famous singer Kishore Kumar was banned from singing on the radio during the Emergency.

He said, ‘Both Majrooh Sultanpuri and Professor Dharampal went to jail for criticizing Nehru.

Kishore Kumar did not bow before Indira Gandhi during the Emergency, so he was banned from singing on the radio. We know how freedom of expression is curtailed when people do not agree with one family.

Modi also said that the thinking of Congress has become like that of Urban Naxal. Urban Naxals have cleverly filled their thinking in Congress.
