PM Modi celebrating Diwali with soldiers in Jaisalmer, said – I will go only among my own people on special occasion.

PM Modi is celebrating Diwali on Saturday with Border Security Force personnel stationed at Longewala in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

Keeping the tradition of celebrating Diwali with the soldiers, Prime Minister Modi is on the Jaisalmer border for the seventh consecutive time.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by Chief of Defense Staff Bipin Rawat, Army Chief MM Narwane, and Border Security Force (BSF) Director General Rakesh Asthana.

Addressing the soldiers on this occasion, he said, ‘Longewala post has a name on everyone’s tongue. The Shaurya saga has been written on the Longewala post.

Best wishes to the countrymen

The Prime Minister also wished the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. He tweeted and wrote, ‘Hearty greetings to all countrymen on Diwali.

May this festival bring happiness in the lives of the people and all of them remain healthy and prosperous. ‘

On Friday itself, the Prime Minister tweeted and said, “This Diwali, let us all light a lamp in honor of the soldiers who fearlessly protect the country.”

The spirit of expressing gratitude by words towards soldiers for their exemplary bravery cannot do justice. We are also grateful to the families of the soldiers who stood at the borders. ‘

PM has been with the soldiers on Diwali since 2014

Like every year, this time also the Prime Minister will celebrate Diwali with brave and courageous soldiers posted on the border.

Last year, on 27 October 2019, Prime Minister Modi celebrated Diwali with the soldiers in Rajouri, Jammu, and Kashmir.

Prime Minister Modi distributed sweets among the soldiers in army dress. Earlier in 2018, PM Modi celebrated Diwali between Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi between Army and ITBP jawans.

In 2017, the Prime Minister was present to celebrate Diwali among the jawans at Gurez in Jammu and Kashmir.

In 2014, Prime Minister Modi visited Siachen in 2015, Amritsar in 2015, with troops stationed in Lahaul Spiti in 2016. The festival was celebrated.

BSF personnel are stationed at the Indo-Pakistan border in Jaisalmer.
