PLFI, a banned organization in West Singhbhum, has suffered a major setback. A member of the organization has been caught with a weapon.
This arrest has happened from Bandgaon in the Chakradharpur subdivision area. PLFI is active in this area. The militants have come face to face with the police here several times.
Police had received information that the area commander of the banned PLFI, Laka Pahan squad, is active in the forest of village Katwa under the Bandgaon police station area.
Chaibasa police team was formed under the leadership of Bandgaon police station in-charge for the verification of information and necessary action.
During the raid, a person was caught near the hockey ground of village Katwa under the Bandgaon police station area.
On asking for the name address, Lodro Hessa’s father- Sahadev Hassa, Sakim Gopal, Thana Adki, District Khunti, his age is around 20 years.
At first, he tried to mislead but in strict interrogation, he was said to be an active member of PLFI. One country-made pistol, one live cartridge, two pamphlets, two mobile phones were seized from him.
In this context, a case has been registered in the Bandgaon police station under sections of case number 13/21 Bhadvi Arms Act and CLA Act. Preparations are being made to send him to judicial custody.
