People’s Alliance Will Edge Political Agenda In Today’s Meeting

People’s Alliance will edge political agenda, Meeting at former J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti’s residence today. The organizational structure of the People’s Alliance for Group Declaration (PAGD) will be ready soon.

The vision document will be declared giving the political agenda of PAGD. Seven Kashmir-centric parties have formed the PAGD against the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act.

Meanwhile, an important meeting of the People’s Alliance for Group Declaration (PAGD) is going to take place on Saturday at the residence of PDP President Mehbooba Mufti. In this, all parties have been invited.

While there is doubt about the participation of Congress. Sources associated with PAGD said that a meeting of key leaders of all the PAGD constituents will be held at Mehbooba’s house on Saturday afternoon to decide the strategy.

It will discuss further strategies and organizational structure of PAGD. CPI (M) leader Mohammad Yusuf Tarigami declined to say anything more, saying only matters related to Article 370 would be discussed.

It is worth mentioning that on October 15, a meeting of senior leaders of PDP, People’s Conference, Jammu Kashmir People’s Movement, Awami National Conference was held at the residence of Dr. Farooq Abdullah, President of National Conference.

Mehbooba was also present in the meeting. All together formed the People’s Alliance for Group Declaration on August 4, 2019, to implement the Gupt Declaration and restore the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the leaders of the NC and PDP, there is an intense discussion among the seven parties of Kashmir-centric mainstream, on the preparation of the organizational structure of the PAGD.

The proposed organizational structure of the PAGD will consist of the chairman, vice-president, general secretary, chief convenor, principal spokesperson, spokesperson, and an executive council.

Farooq will be the chairman: The office bearers will include the leaders of each constituent of the PAGD. It is claimed that Dr. Farooq Abdullah will be nominated as Chairman of PAGD in terms of political experience and age.

PDP President Mehbooba Mufti and People’s Conference Chairman Sajjad Gani Lone will also hold important responsibilities. NC Vice President and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will also join the Executive Council of PAGD.

Sources associated with PAGD said that along with the organizational structure, the vision document is also being prepared. His suggestions from all concerned parties and some senior constitution experts of Kashmir are being consulted.

According to the leaders of the PAGD constituents, the central government can create many illusions to thwart their agenda.

Many times there can be differences of opinion between the leaders on various issues, so the vision document which will in a way be the constitution of PAGD is necessary.

This will make it easier for common people to join together. All leaders will be given different responsibilities to make the fight against Jammu Kashmir Reorganization Act a success.

Apart from key spokespersons and spokespersons, only the statements of two senior leaders will be the official statements of PAGD.

Other leaders of the parties involved in the PAGD will not make a statement on any policy issue. An office will be built with the PAGD’s organizational structure ready.

Congress’s support: Congress has also announced the support of PAGD, but there is doubt on where it will fit in its organizational structure and what responsibility its leaders will take.
