The BJP on Wednesday, citing the results of the Karnataka Gram Panchayat elections, said that the People has rejected the politics of ‘lies and hypocrisy’ of the opposition.

Along with this, the party also claimed that these results reflect public confidence in the development work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

BJP spokesperson and Rajya Sabha member Rajiv Chandrasekhar alleged at a press conference here that opposition parties try to provoke a group of citizens.

In favor of these allegations, he referred to the agitations of farmers on various borders of the capital and the protests regarding the earlier amended citizenship law.

He said that the BJP has won in various elections in Karnataka recently, be it the assembly by-elections or the Legislative Council elections or the elections of local bodies in rural areas.

He claimed that the public supported the steps taken by the central government in the field of agriculture.

He said that the government is serious about the ongoing dialogue with the farmers’ organizations to end the movement and the BJP’s commitment to farmers is based on the ‘principle of trust’.

The BJP spokesperson said that people have given a decisive majority in the elections to the gram panchayats in Karnataka.

Believing the policies of the BJP and Modi when the elections were held amid lies being spread on agrarian reform laws.
