The recent breach of Parliament security has taken a new turn as investigators delve into the matter.
Authorities reveal that the orchestrator behind the breach may be someone other than initially suspected.
Preliminary findings, disclosed by police sources on Thursday, point to a different mastermind directing the events leading to the breach.
According to insider information, the accused individuals had conducted reconnaissance outside the Parliament before the incident.
The alleged culprits were reportedly affiliated with a social media group called ‘Bhagat Singh Fan Club.’
Although one member named Sagar attempted to enter the Parliament House in July from Lucknow but was unsuccessful, the group later regrouped in Delhi on December 10, converging near India Gate.
Notably, festive crackers were distributed among the members during this gathering.
In response to the incident, the Delhi Police Special Cell has filed a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has also taken action, initiating an inquiry into the security breach.
The Home Ministry, acting on the Lok Sabha Secretariat’s request, has formed an investigation committee led by CRPF Director General Anish Dayal Singh.
The breach, occurring on the 22nd anniversary of the terror attack on Parliament, unfolded during Zero Hour when two intruders entered the Lok Sabha chamber from the visitor’s gallery.
The individuals released yellow gas from canisters and raised slogans before being restrained by Members of Parliament, marking a significant security lapse.
