Pakistani Human Rights Activist Angry On Judicial system

Pakistani Human rights activist angry over not protecting minorities, questions raised over the judicial system in Pakistan. Anila Gulzar, a London-based Pakistani human rights activist and spokesperson for Justice for Minorities in Pakistan, has attacked the judicial system in Pakistan on the issue in which High Court sentenced Asaram Perwaz, a 37-year-old Christian man in Lahore, to death.

She said that Asif refused to convert to Islam, which not only forced him to quit his job at a hosiery factory in Lahore but in 2013 his employer was accused of blasphemy. Asif accused his supervisor of making derogatory remarks about Prophet Muhammad. Making derogatory remarks about Nabi is a mandatory death penalty provision in Pakistan. Gulzar said these are trumped-up charges and Asif should be acquitted.

Anila Gulzar, herself a Christian who migrated to the UK 30 years ago, said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government have won the hearts of Pakistani minorities by creating CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act 2019), which is religious from Pakistan Facing persecution guarantees refuge to minorities.

“Persecuted Christians in Pakistan can now go to India. Christians in Pakistan have been suffering for the last 70 years. I am a Christian and have been living in Britain for the last 30 years. There is no need to convert myself to another religion.” You have the opportunity to go to India, ”said Gulzar.
