Pakistan Will Remain On The Gray List Till April 2022

Pakistan will remain on the gray list till April 2022. Pak will remain in ‘Grey List’, FATF’s big decision, Turkey also kept on the watch list, the strong message given.

The FATF (Financial Action Task Force, FATF) has decided to keep Pakistan on the gray list.

According to the report of the news agency, Pakistan will remain on the ‘grey list’ until it proves that concrete and credible action is being taken against Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar.

The statement issued by the Paris-based Financial Action Task Force (FATF) said that the Pakistani government has failed to fulfill four of the 34-point agenda against terrorism.

Pakistan will remain on the gray list till April 2022.

FATF President Marcus Player said that the decision to keep Pakistan on the gray list was taken in the online meeting of FATF.

The meeting was attended by 205 members of the FATF, representatives of several observer organizations including the International Monetary Fund and the United Nations.

The next session of FATF is going to be held in April 2022, It is believed that till then Pakistan will remain in the ‘Grey List’ of FATF.

Action should be taken against Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar.

Marcus Player said that we want that the action taken by Pakistan against terrorist funding should be transparent.

The Government of Pakistan should take strict action against the terrorist leaders and their allies declared by the United Nations.

Pakistan will have to show that strict measures are being taken against UN-declared terrorists like Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar and the organizations led by them.

Pakistan has been throwing dust in the eyes of the world.

It is worth noting that Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed and Jaish-e-Mohammed founder Masood Azhar are also included in India’s wanted list.

In fact, Pakistan has not taken any concrete action against the terrorists banned by the United Nations.

India has been continuously pressurizing the international forums to take concrete action against the banned terrorists by the United Nations.

Out of the 34-point action plan, only 30 are implemented.

The FATF said that a 34-point action plan was submitted to Pakistan, out of which action has been taken on only 30. It is known that in June, the FATF had placed Pakistan in the ‘Grey List.

The FATF also directed Pakistan to prosecute terrorist organizations and their leaders banned by the United Nations.

Along with this, FATF had given an action plan to Pakistan and asked it to be strictly implemented.

Turkey also fell, Jordan and Mali were also on the gray list.

FATF has also taken strict action against Pakistan’s sympathizer Turkey. Turkey has also been placed on the gray list by the FATF.

Jordan and Mali have also been placed on the same watch list. Mauritius and Botswana have been left out of this list.

FATF President Marcus Player said Turkey has made some progress in curbing terror funding, but serious issues remain.

The FATF President advised Turkey to effectively deal with complex money laundering cases.
