Pakistan Furious At The Criticism In The Afghan Case

Pakistan furious at the criticism in the Afghan case said – America used us as a ‘rented gun.’

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Wednesday that Americans have treated his country like a hired gun.

His statement came a day after the US indicated to review its relations with Pakistan on developments in Afghanistan.

In one of his interviews with a leading media group of the US, he said that Pakistan had suffered in America’s fight against terrorism.

He said Washington used Islamabad as a “hired gun” during its 20-year presence in Afghanistan.

Pakistan has close ties with the Taliban and other organizations in the region. In addition, the country has been accused of supporting the group during America’s war on terrorism.

Pakistan furious at the criticism: Imran Khan, however, denied the allegations in an interview that Pakistan harbors terrorists.

He said, ‘What are these safe-havens? Most of the surveillance was done by US drones in Pakistan’s territory along the Afghanistan border.

Surely they would know if there was a safe haven?’ Khan said his country has suffered for collaborating with the US.

He said in the interview that the best way for peace and stability in Afghanistan is to join the Taliban and inspire them for women’s rights and inclusive government.
