Pak government will take advice from the legal team in preparing to declare Imran Khan’s party as a ‘banned organization’.

Pakistan Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the government will consult experts to start the process of declaring the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party as a banned organization.

The police claimed to have recovered arms and petrol bombs from the Lahore residence of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Leaders of the ruling coalition lashed out at Imran Khan, who arrived from Lahore to appear in a district court in Islamabad on Saturday, as his supporters clashed with the police.

While Khan was in Islamabad, more than 10,000 armed Punjab Police personnel launched a massive operation at his Zaman Park residence in Lahore and arrested many of his supporters.

Not only this, arms and petrol bombs are also claimed to have been seized from his residence.

Interior Minister Sanaullah told a press conference on Saturday that the government would consult its legal team to assess whether the process to declare the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party as a banned group could be initiated or not, a leading newspaper reported.

Imran Khan reached Islamabad.

Imran Khan arrived at the Islamabad Judicial Complex from Lahore on Tuesday to appear in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal.

He attended the proceedings on a complaint filed by the Election Commission of Pakistan over alleged irregularities in his asset declarations. The details of the gifts were hidden.

The hearing was adjourned till March 30.

After waiting for hours at the entrance of the court, Khan walked back to Lahore as the police were unable to clear the way occupied by his supporters.

The hearing in the Toshakhana case has been adjourned till March 30. Eventually, the judge agreed to allow the former prime minister to mark his presence on a document from his vehicle.
