Opening Bell 29 Oct: Sensex breaks more than 700 points in early trade; HDFC Bank, NTPC, and IRCTC shares fall.

On Friday, the last trading day of the week, the stock market opened on a weak note. In the early trade today, the Sensex, the main index of the BSE, saw a fall of more than 700 points.

This happened due to the frequent outflow of foreign funds into Reliance Industries, HDFC and HDFC Bank, and ICICI Bank.

Opening Bell 29 Oct: The 30-share index was trading 704.22 points or 1.17 percent lower at 59,280.48 in opening deals. Shares of NTPC and IRCTC were also trading with a decline.

Along with the Sensex, the Nifty was also seeing a decline. Nifty was trading 181.70 points or 1.02 percent lower at 17,675.55. HDFC was the biggest loser in the Sensex pack, down nearly 4 percent.

Apart from this, the shares of IndusInd Bank, Kotak Bank, Axis Bank, Reliance Industries, and HDFC Bank also saw a fall.

At the same time, shares of Tata Steel, Titan, ITC, and HCL Tech saw gains in early trade.

At the same time, the stock market had closed with a fall in its previous business ie, on Thursday as well. The stock market closed with a fall on Thursday after a day’s trading.

In its last trade, BSE’s major index Sensex closed at 59,984.70, down 1158.63 points, or 1.89 percent.

At the same time, along with the Sensex, there was a decline in the Nifty also. NSE’s major index Nifty also closed at 17,857.25, down 353.70 points, ie, 1.94 percent.

VK Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist, Geojit Financial Services, said that “Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net sellers in the capital market.

As they sold shares worth Rs 3,818.51 crore on Thursday, as per exchange data of Nifty 20. “The market has clearly weakened, with a move below the one-day moving average.”
