One Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist arrested in Hajin, Bandipora district, ammunition recovered: Militancy in Kashmir.
On Friday, the Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist from the Hajin area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Arms and ammunition have also been recovered from his possession. He is under interrogation. Police can get some more success from the revelations made in the interrogation.
He was about to commit some crime in the Hajin area. It is being ascertained who is his master and from where did he get the weapon.
According to the official statement received by the police, secret information was received that a terrorist was trying to carry out some incident.
Terrorist is coming towards Hajin. Based on this input, personnel of Bandipora District Police, Army’s 13 RR, IRP 21st Battalion and 45 Battalion of CRPF jointly organized a Naka in Gund Jehangir area.
During the investigation here, a suspicious person was seen and he was caught.
During interrogation, it was revealed that he is Muzammil Sheikh alias Abu Mawiya, a resident of Chandergir Hajin. On search, arms and ammunition were recovered from his possession.
These include a Chinese pistol and some rounds etc. A preliminary investigation revealed that he had recently joined Lashkar-e-Taiba.
He was entrusted with the responsibility of carrying out terrorist acts in and around Hajin city. Police have started the investigation by registering a case against him.

Officials believe that this will bring transparency to the functioning of police stations. The complaint box will be placed near the gate of the police station.
