Apart from this, the team advised everyone to be extra cautious and inform at the earliest if they have similar symptoms.

The central team directly instructed the local people to follow the protocol in and around their homes.

Strict protocols have been implemented within a radius of three kilometers of the Nipah victim’s house.

The statement said that these areas have been declared as containment. Simultaneously, similar alert measures have been issued in Kozhikode, Malappuram, and adjoining areas of the Kannur districts.

Let us inform you that earlier the central government had sent a public health team to Kozhikode district of Kerala to find out the causes of the Nipah virus.

Kerala Health Minister Veena George said on Saturday that the National Institute of Virology, Pune has tested Nipah positive in a sample of a 12-year-old boy from Kerala. The patient died on Sunday morning.
