NIA Raids in Bihar: AK-47 Case Unfolds Across Muzaffarpur, Saran, and Vaishali

NIA conducted raids in Bihar, uncovering weapons, cash, and evidence in the AK-47 smuggling case. Locations include Muzaffarpur, Saran, and Vaishali.

In the AK-47 recovery case from Muzaffarpur, different teams of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided more than half a dozen locations in the state on Wednesday. The NIA raided one location in Saran, while three locations each were raided in Muzaffarpur and Hajipur.

NIA Raids in Bihar: Weapons recovered in the raid

During this, about 14 lakh cash, weapons, mobile phones, and other items were recovered from the residence of the Mukhiya of Kudhni in Muzaffarpur district and the Chief Councilor of Parsa in Saran district.

The NIA seized Rs 11 lakh 19 thousand 500, an iPhone, and a mobile phone from the residence of Mukhiya Nandkishore Rai alias Bhola Rai in Mankouni village of Fakuli police station in Muzaffarpur.

Raid in Muzaffarpur

The Mukhiya of Kudhni in Muzaffarpur district is the father of Devmuni alias Anish, an accused in the AK-47 seizure case recovered a few months ago. In this case, Devmuni is lodged in Beur jail along with Vikas, Satyam, and Ahmed Ansari of East Champaran.

During the raid, the NIA team questioned Mukhiya and his wife for a long time. NIA officials have also summoned the Mukhiya to Patna for questioning.

Apart from this, the NIA also searched the residence of Vikas Kumar of Pokharera village of Jaitpur police station in Muzaffarpur and arms smuggler Bablu Khan of Teenkothiya Mohalla of Mithanpura police station.

A search of the house of the Chief Councilor in Saran for 12 hours

The NIA raided the house of Chief Councilor Esha Khatoon of Parsa Nagar Panchayat in Saran district at Chetna Parsa village at 4 am on Wednesday. The new and old houses of the Chief Councilor were searched for about 12 hours.

During this, two lakh 75 thousand 340 rupees cash, one weapon, and other documents were seized from the house of the chief councilor. NIA has seized it and taken it with them. According to police sources, it is being investigated whether the seized weapon is licensed or unlicensed.

NIA Raids in Bihar: Raid on three places including the lawyer’s residence in Vaishali

NIA team raided the house of Patna High Court lawyer Sandeep Kumar Sinha alias Chhotu Lala in Hajipur, Vaishali, and Satyam Kumar’s house in Krishnapuri Bagmali. At the same time, a search was also conducted at the house of Munna Rai of Gauspur Chak Mujahid village of Mahua police station area.

According to sources, the NIA team has not recovered anything special in the raid. SP Har Kishore Rai has confirmed the NIA raid.

AK-47 was recovered in May

On May 7-8 this year, an AK-47, magazine, five cartridges, and binoculars were seized from near Muzaffarpur railway station and Dhodhi bridge of Fakuli police station. In this, Devmuni alias Aneesh, Vikas Kumar, Satyam Kumar, and Ahmed Ansari were arrested. Initially, the Bihar Police was investigating this, but in August, the NIA took over the investigation.

NIA Raids in Bihar: The murder of a Delhi textile businessman with an AK-47

A textile businessman from Delhi was murdered with an AK-47 this year. On Wednesday, the NIA team from Patna reached Madhuaha Math Tola of the Rajepur police station area in connection with this case.

The team reached the house of Santosh Kumar Rai, son of Budhu Rai, and questioned him. Santosh was not at home at the time of questioning, he had gone to Muzaffarpur.

The NIA took the necessary information from his brother Roshan Kumar. Giving him a notice, it said that Santosh should appear at the Patna office and present his side.

The team told the family members that a textile businessman was murdered in Delhi with an AK-47. In this case, one person has been arrested in Delhi, Santosh had talked to the accused on the phone. This is how the crew arrived at his house. It was told that Santosh has a clothes shop in Muzaffarpur.

The team included NIA DSP G Kumharan, Sub Inspector Rahul Singh, Balwant Kumar, and Dhananjay Kumar. Rajepur police station in-charge Mukesh Kumar and other police personnel were present on the spot.
